By: Shane D. Hudson, MFA '14

Founded in 1986 by “about to be famous” artists, Naked Angels has had a significant impact in launching artists’ careers and developing new work. After a disastrous 25th anniversary gala, the organization is faced with yet again another serious financial challenge: how does the organization afford to mount the first full season in the project-to-project based company’s history? This challenge brings the issue of continued existence and relevance for this company to the forefront.

This case gives the opportunity to examine the role of mission, vision, and leadership in setting a direction for an organization.
